I agree with your take on it. There's no point in lashing out at each other when death isn't permanent here. It will only raise tensions and make it more difficult for each of us to live our lives here. If the the vampires are actively attacking others, then I would intervene, as I did with Angelus. But if Dean's targeting them simply for existing, then he's only going to make all of our lives more difficult.
I don't like letting monsters roam free any better than Dean does, but we have to change the way we think if we want any kind of a life here. Don't think any of us want to be caught in a cycle of killing each other over and over again.
I'm glad you were able to do something about Angelus. Klaus is a pain in the ass and I expect him to get his hands dirty sooner rather than later, but Elijah's an ally, or close enough to it. Anyway, thanks for confirming things for me. Looks like I have some detective work to do.
I'll be keeping my eye on Klaus as best I can. The same goes for Peter Hale.
