[It takes Castiel a few seconds to even put together who's contacted him, as their interaction took place so long ago.
But he does remember now. Isaac, the werewolf who had come here poisoned and disoriented. Castiel had left that money Isaac had forced on him in his room at one point, a way of returning it without getting into another argument over it.
At least Isaac seems to have realized his mistake now.]
You don't need to apologize. Are you more settled now
[ Isaac may or may not have been a bit creeped out by the fact that someone was actually able to get into their room without getting caught by one of the three boys that live in it but the scent and the money had been an odd reminder. He'd dragged his feet on actually trying to figure out who the guy that helped him was, but after the mirror fiasco and seeing him and his name on the network, well... He felt like he should get to an apology and a thank you.
This guy had known what he was and that strange sterile scent and there was something Isaac couldn't put his finger on about it... ]
Dude I thought you were homeless I think Im lucky you didnt punch me in the face but yeah I am. More settled I mean and not yknow chock full of poison
[ There's a short pause before he sends another text. ]
[Castiel still doesn't quite understand why Isaac had thought he was a derelict, but it could have been the fact that he was so hazy due to that poison. Plenty of people have made comments about Castiel's ratty state of dress, so that might be a factor too.]
I had no reason to punch you. [Not to mention it probably would have broken most of the bones in Isaac's face if he had. Castiel usually only punches other angels or demons.
The next text, though...
Castiel takes a moment to consider, but in the end a werewolf is no threat to him and most of the mansion already knows.]
[ Woah, this suddenly got way too metal for Isaac. An Angel? At first he doesn't believe it, doesn't really want to believe it. But of course he has to because as far as he can tell this guy doesn't seem nuttier than a squirrel... Then there is the fact that werewolves are a thing, an actual thing that exists, why couldn't angels.
Sorry, Castiel's just opened the floodgates for a million and one questions. ]
what. Angel like wings and stuff? so youre a good guy. Do you help people? wait can you literally hear prayers???
[ What he really wants to ask is if there is a heaven and hell... The thought of his dad in hell makes him want to hurl... He hopes he made it to heaven - it doesn't matter if he spent a good portion of Isaac's life beating the snot out of him and locking him in a freezer, Isaac would never wish him harm like that... ]
[The onslaught of questions might have been easier to deal with in person, because Castiel is terrible at typing. It takes him far too long for it to be a useful method of communication, and yet he's doing his best.
Somehow, he doesn't think that going straight to Isaac's room in search of him would earn him any favors. Not that he needs a werewolf's favor, but he has learned a thing or two about interaction during his time on Earth.]
Yes, I have wings. Not all angels are good, though. [He won't even claim he's good. He doesn't fit that description anymore, as much as he might try.]
[ Yeah, popping up in the teenagers room unannounced once again would freak more than him out this time - Scott was in the shower but he's more then certain Stiles might have a problem with the guy Isaac was convinced was a hobo at one point, but is actually an angel showing up while Scott isn't in there to protect them. Baseball bats only go so far and the stranger danger is kind of strong with this one.
Isaac doesn't mind though, he's been texting Adam and Derek as well, so he's sort of pleasantly surprised when Castiel does respond back. ]
[The stranger danger is very strong. Sorry about that, Isaac. You get to know Castiel too well and it's something you'll eventually get used to, but he's behaving. For now.
A baseball bat wouldn't do all that much, either, though Castiel would have been amused to see someone try.]
Not all fallen.
What about them
[He's not all that surprised by these questions, but it won't stop him from being blunt over text.]
[ In all honesty Stiles ruining a baseball bat on Castiel would freak Isaac out more than Castiel not behaving. He could also really do without the nonstop screaming he's sure Stiles would be emitting. He got over the satisfaction of scaring the hell out of Stiles the morning he woke Stiles up by leaning over him wolfed out - really his ear drums are still recovering.
Yes, theyre real, though they may not be like how you imagined them.
[Hell is probably more similar to the version humans believe than Heaven, to be fair. But even then, it's not only fire and brimstone. It's heavier on the torture.]
[ He wants to ask about his dad, if he would have made it to heaven, or his brother... or his mom. Having a dead family sort of sucks, especially now that he has this horrifying insight into the afterlife. ]
[That's a question that requires a long explanation, and Castiel isn't willing to type it out, and so after some fumbling (that causes a delayed response), he switches from text to audio.
He decides to start with Heaven. All of his resentful feelings aside, he's more familiar with it than Hell.]
Heaven is...
For humans, it's a place of eternal rest and bliss. Each person has their own personal Heaven which is tailored to their needs, but anyone who's in Heaven is in such a state of peace that they're oblivious to anything else, to what's happening on Earth.
Ignorance is bliss, in other words.
[Castiel doesn't try to sell it as anything, but simply tells it how it is. He's not interested in lying to anyone, or making Heaven out to be something different.]
[audio] OH MY GOD I NEVER TAGGED THIS BACK HOW DARE I???
[ Isaac switches over to audio as well, if Castiel preferred it, Isaac would follow his lead.
He listens to the angel's words, and even if they may sound a bit tight, Isaac doesn't question it. Because he is curious, this is both bizarre and thrilling to learn. And maybe it means that Cam, his mom, his dad and everyone else that he's cared about that's died are happy in heaven. ]
So, they're happy? They're okay... [ There's relief in his voice, because in all honesty Isaac wasn't even sure there was a heaven. ]
[Happy and okay, yes, Castiel can say that those souls in Heaven are that with some level of confidence. It's not the sort of happiness that some are looking for, but Heaven is meant to be a time of rest after the trials of life.
Unsurprisingly, Isaac also wants to know about Hell. Castiel lets out a breath, wondering where to even start.]
It's the opposite, of course. Souls are tortured there -- and made to torture others -- until they become so twisted and decayed that there's no hope for them. They become demons.
[Yes, like those very same demons wandering around the mansion.]
[It's a question that Castiel might have worried more over answering if he had more tact, but seeing how Isaac wants to know, he's going to be direct with him.]
You would go to Purgatory. All monsters go there.
[At least where Castiel is from. He can't be certain they're from the same version of Earth.]
I would have to know more about your father before I could presume to guess where he might go.
[How to explain Purgatory? Castiel hesitates for a moment, complete silence on the line as he considers how much to say. It's not something that's supposed to be shared with the living, but he has to tell Isaac something.]
It's not a pleasant place. It's hunt or be hunted. It's miles and miles of forest and mountains and filled with bloodthirsty souls.
[There is some kind of upside to this, though, which he soon adds.]
But that's only the case where I come from. Your world could be very different.
[ Isaac goes deathly silent, hunt or be hunted. That's literally all his life is ever going to be, even after he dies... Even after he dies he'll still be hunted.
He sucks in a wavering breath, trying to process what he's just heard. But then Castiel seems to try to do damage control and it doesn't even make him feel better. ]
Can you die in purgatory? Wouldn't that defeat the point?
[That's a question Castiel had pondered over while trapped in that place himself. What happened to someone who died in a place that was already meant for the dead?
Castiel had a theory about that, and so he shares it.]
I can't be certain, but I think it's much like this place. If you die, you eventually come back.
[Doomed to die and revive over and over again for eternity. No, it's not a pleasant fate.]

... As I said, this may all be different in your world. [The werewolves themselves certainly look to be different enough.] But you're welcome.
